The Trail 🪵🌱

The Trail 🪵🌱

The trail winds through lush forests, open meadows, and rocky terrain, leading you to the iconic red-hued cliffs that give the mountain its name. The vivid contrast of the red rocks against the surrounding greenery and snow (depending on the season) is a sight you won’t forget.

Length: Approximately 12 miles round trip
Difficulty: Moderate (some steep inclines and uneven terrain)
Time: 3-4 hours to complete (including stops to take in the views!)

Tips for a Great Hike:
✨ Dress in Layers: Weather in Seldovia can change quickly, so be prepared for anything from sunshine to chilly winds.
✨ Bring Water and Snacks: Stay hydrated and energized for the climb.
✨ Wear Good Hiking Boots: The trail can be rocky and uneven, so sturdy footwear is essential.
✨ Start Early: This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the hike and the views without feeling rushed.

Don't forget to take pictures: Trust us, you’ll want to capture the stunning scenery and save the memory for later! 📸
